Where product and offer data comes from.

ItemPrism is designed to ingest product and offer data from approved retailer APIs, affiliate-network catalogs, authorized merchant feeds, and direct seller feeds. Each source is configured separately and remains inactive until the applicable credentials or approval are available.

• Retailer and marketplace APIs.
• Affiliate catalogs in CSV, TSV, XML, or approved API formats.
• Direct seller CSV, feed, or API integrations.
• Editorially reviewed product identifiers and multilingual aliases.

Offers include a last-checked time and may have an expiration time based on the source's refresh cadence. Prices and availability can still change between checks, so the merchant page remains the final source for checkout terms.

When a source reports that an item is unavailable, or an offer is no longer refreshed within its allowed window, the offer should be removed from active comparisons.

Merchant product images and descriptions are used only when permitted by the relevant API, feed, or partner agreement. ItemPrism may also use original illustrations or editorial descriptions. Source-provided details can remain in the original listing language when translating them would risk changing a technical claim.

During the early prototype stage, illustrative listings are clearly labeled as demo data and do not link to merchants as if they were live inventory. Demo records are replaced by authorized live offers as source integrations are approved and tested.

Use the Contact page to report an incorrect price, product match, condition, warranty, return policy, image, merchant identity, or broken link. Include the page URL and enough detail to reproduce the issue.
